The German-to-English dictionary

The 37,900+-word German-to-English dictionary provides context as well as definition to help you to translate phrases and word combinations into flowing and intelligible English. It will contain all the words you're likely to encounter, not just technical terms, and will be continuously revised, edited, and expanded.

Dictionary of art and archaeology

This online dictionary is the combination of the full text (8,300+ entries) of:

J.W. Mollett's Illustrated Dictionary of Words Used in Art and Archaeology (London, 1883)
Adeline's Art Dictionary (translated from the French and enlarged, London, 1891)

Batches of symbols followed by "[=...]" are transliterations of ancient Greek letters which don't readily convert to HTML.
The illustrations are not included at this time.

Mariette, Auguste Edouard. Denderah: Temple of Hathor, Goddess of Love and Joy, translation of Dendérah: Description générale du Grand Temple de cette ville (1875). The 5 volume work will be published as 2 paperbacks (text and plates) and available for purchase by June 2013 at less than US$150. WorldCat shows less than 20 libraries in the world have the complete work (7 of these own the Olms slightly smaller reprint priced at around 250 Euros).
Mariette, Auguste Edouard. Abydos. 1880. (2 volumes plus supplement).
Amélineau, Émile. Mission Amélineau: Les nouvelles fouilles d'Abydos. Compte rendu in extenso des fouilles, description des monuments et objets découverts. 3 Volumes: 1895-1896, 1896-1897, 1897-1898.
Phallic Cults: A compilation of various articles and numerous rare figures (more later).
Pre-1923 Volumes of the Catalogue Général des Antiquités Égyptiennes du Musée du Caire.
